Randocroquis - Thème d'Avril 2010 - En Haute Provence

It's one of my personal photo albums that was chosen for the Randocroqueur April 2010 Challenge ! And, Yes, I was proud of it !
These photos were taken in August 2009, in Haute Provence (South East of France)

So, I did these ink and watercolour sketches but I have a lot to learn when it comes to "fast" sketching !

  4. Absolutely beautiful! I am so glad your work has been recognized Martine, that means we haven't been wrong all these while too right? ^^ Good luck with the exhibition and the challenge too. We'll still be here whenever you're done with what needs to be done and ready to come back. I learn that people come and go, EDM will always be here, just like family ;)
Oh yeah by the way, the cow drawing is awesome, I was surprised to see that it even has an expression!! ^^

  6. These are absolutely delightful Martine! I'm so envious of where you get to travel and where you live!! Someone should pay you to make sketches of the places you go...your artwork is lovely.

  7. They are stunning and beautiful. The simplicity of the cow and the complexity of the seemingly "simple" scenes are just wonderful. Also, I love the delicate washes you used. Congratulations ... oh one more thing .... your lettering is exquisite! nancy

  14. Stunning - stunning - stunning. And as for your comment that you have a lot to learn about "fast" sketching, we all have much to learn about aspects of what we do and if we didn't we'd probably quit for lack of a challenge!
