Sketch hunt for December 15th for USK France : a kiosk.
This one is situated in Paris, on the Champs Elysées, just outside the Grand Palais where I visited the "Art en Capital" exhibition.
Sketch on location but I had to find a shelter to add the colours !!

I would love to be able to do these drawings on location, as you do. I think you capture the true essence of the place when you do that. I also think it would be very difficult to draw so quickly and accurately, the way that you do! This is lovely!
RépondreSupprimerHi, Martine,
RépondreSupprimerOh, wonderful! I love the grace of the roof and how it sits among the tree trunks...and the umbrellas waiting for those who had forgotten to take theirs from home!

How charming! You've really captured the details in this kiosk that make it very unique. I, too, wish I had the patience and time to do on site sketching like this.
RépondreSupprimerYou have a great descriptive ink line and a wonderful way of applying your watercolor paint. Thanks for giving me, who lives in California, a little corner of Paris. www.barbararoth.blogspot.com
RépondreSupprimerYour sketch was worth waiting for. Really lovely and I can feel the chilly dampness.
RépondreSupprimerA glimmer of color on a dank and gray day
RépondreSupprimerUtterly charming! I really anticipate your lively posts!
RépondreSupprimerI absolutely love this little sketch and the previous painting with the gorgeous glowing sky. Will be following your blog with interest.

RépondreSupprimerFantastic sketch!
RépondreSupprimerWow! Love it -the quaint feel, the moody weather, the pen work and the way you colored it. Looks like France!
