Andy Walker provided this photo he took last year in Venice for The February Art Challenge  - Thank you Andy !
I did it with Schmincke watercolours on Arches Hot Pressed paper (140 lb).
Size: 9" x 12 1/8 " .
As I'm not used to that kind of paper it was already a bit of a challenge for me to paint on it !

  2. It's a lovely painting! I've not used hot pressed paper either, but I'm curious about it. If this is the results it can give, I'm going to try it! nancy

  5. You managed it very well, quite a complicated scene to do. The water reflects the light and is transparent at the same time, the paper seems to work fine.

  10. This is a most lovely picture. Love the colors. I have a soft spot for Venice. Have never been there, but love the scenery. I have a picture of Venice I started last year and then lost interest. I have just started working on it again. I hope your lovely vision of Venice will inspire me to finish mine. Thanks for sharing your Venice with us.
